If one were to ask me the second thing to bring when traveling, my answer would be my bicycle. Cycling, perhaps one of the best experience for you to learn more about the people and culture of a new destination.

I brought my bike on my last trip to Taiwan. Travelling with a bike means you have to get a box (usually I will get it from a bicycle shop), most importantly get them with flat tyres. Anyway, it’s good for you to check if there is any extra charges when shipping your bike.

AirAsia and other lowcost airlines normally impose a standard handling fee for this. I can’t remember how much I paid, but it certainly was worth it!

  1. Interesting travel Earpin, usually I just rent a bike in local market, I think it’s simpler than taking your own bike. Thanks.
