6 Flights, 5 Cities, 3 Countries, 1 Holiday Trip

By Janna

From 5 October 2008 until 13 October 2008, We (12 adults and 4 children) travelled to 5 cities in South East Asia using AirAsia.

5 October 2008 (1st flight), from Jakarta we flew to Batam, and then using ferry to Singapore

We were staying for 2 nights in Singapore and had a great fun there…. We brought our children to Sentosa Island, playing Luge and Skyride, and the most excited things were watching “The Song of the Sea”. It was a great performance and the lasser fountain was cool….. Our children liked it very much.

7 October 2008 (2nd flight), from Singapore we flew to Phuket (Thailand). We were staying in the hotel near Patong Beach (which is the most lovely beach in Phuket). The beach were awesome, and remind me of Kuta Beach in Bali….

At night we were watching Simon Cabaret Show, played by lady boy. Some of them even prettier than a real women. We also went to the night market, but a bit disapponted cause we have to bargain all the time, and the shop keeper open the price very high(expensive), make us confused to do the bargain.

8 October 2008 (3rd flight), from Phuket we flew to Bangkok. We were staying there for 2 nights. We had a full day tour using local agent tour. They brought us to do the canal tour around Chao Praya River (the most famous river in Bangkok), and then go to Wat Arun temple (Temple of the Dawn), and to Wat Pho (the Reclining Buddha), after that, we had free time shopping in MBK Shopping Mall, and then Siam Paragon Mall. At night, we had dinner at Royal Dragon Restaurant (the biggest restaurant in Bangkok), they had a show going while we were eating, example: a men flying with the food on his hand, traditional Thailand dance, traditional Thailand fighting, etc. The last but not least, don’t forget to visit Suan Lum Night Market, you can find everthing you want to buy, from clothing, food, watches, etc.

10 October 2008 (4th flight), early in the morning we flew from Bangkok to Penang (Malaysia). The most important thing why we chosed to do in Penang was the culinary stuff. Penang is famous due to its food. We ate the most famous Char Keoy Teow in Penang in Mccalisster Road and had dinner at the Sea food restaurant near the Gurney Drive . The lobster tasted very delicious.

11 October 2008 (5th flight), we flew from Penang to Kuala Lumpur. We stayed 2 nights at Jalan Bukit Bintang, where the most shopping mall (Sungai Wang, BB Plaza, Lot 10) is only walk away from the hotel. The monorail station is also very near from our hotel. There was a hawker center just behind our hotel (Jalan Alor). In the very next day, we brought our children to Sunway Lagoon Theme Park. We had a very fun time over there, cause there are Dry Park and Wet Park over there. Nearby the park, there was Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall.

13 October 2008 (6th flight) Next morning, we went to the famous Twin Towers. Unfortunately, the bridge was closed every Monday, so we couldn’t cross the Twin Tower bridge, so we just took pictures there. Finally we reach the end of our journey, by taxi go to LCCT to go home. Last flight from Kuala Lumpur to Jakarta.
