My family and I flew from Chiang Mai, Thailand to Kuala Lumpur with AirAsia flight AK897 CNX-KUL last month. This flight used the amazing Airbus A320 aircraft registered 9M-AFW named “AT&T Willams”. 2 hours and 50 minute in the air, the sky is so very nice so I could see Koh Samui, Hat Yai Airport and Pulau Pinang too!!

This is not the first time for me to go to Malaysia. I have been to Kuala Lumpur so many time before fly to the new destination. Yes !! every time I always fly with AirAsia to LCCT Kuala Lumpur.

LCCT = Low Cost Carrier Terminal @ KLIA
When I saw it in the first time on Mar 25th, 2006, the 3rd day that LCCT started to operate. I felt so very amazed!! This Terminal seems like the large hypermarket in Thailand like Tesco Lotus or Carrefour. When the aircraft has already stopped at the parking bay, all passengers have to go into the heavy sunlight before reach the terminal and on the rainy day the passenger will recieve 1 umbrella per 1 passenger. To make the lowest operation cost that I always understand.

The aircraft named AT&T Willams arrived at LCCT on time.
Oh my god !! There was so very heavy rain at LCCT , the aircraft has already stopped at the parking bay but the passenger have to wait for 10 minute to leave the aircraft. The back door opened and the passenger started to walk in the rain.

My family felt so amazed. 1 person 1 umbrella….
My dad asked me how much for the umbrella rental? RM3, RM5 ???
(just kidding!! — Sure it’s free)

I walked from the aircraft, stepped on the wet stairs. After that the nice ground staff sent 1 umbrella for me and I have to walk in the wet parking bay passing the large left engine.

This rain at LCCT actually made my sister smile !!!

My family had the trip to Melaka, Kuala Lumpur and Penang before flying back to Thailand. In the departure date from LCCT, We met the heavy rain again before flight AK6310 KUL-PEN. The boarding time had been delayed for 20 minute due to the heavy rain. We had to borrow the umbrella from AirAsia again to reach the aircraft.

This is the new experience at LCCT!!!
but I still love to fly with AirAsia, the truly low-fare airlines.
