LATEST UPDATES (as at 9.00pm Malaysian time): Bangkok Airport Closure – AirAsia Mounts Second Rescue Flight on 29 November 2008

AirAsia is mounting an additional rescue flight from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok (U-Tapao), via Singapore on 29th November 2008. The flight will depart Kuala Lumpur International Airport’s LCC Terminal at 4.25 pm Malaysian time and will arrive in Singapore’s Changi International Airport at 5.20 pm Singapore time. The flight will then depart Singapore at 5.50 pm and arrive at the U-Tapao Airbase in Bangkok at 6:50 pm Thai time.

Please note that the flight departing Bangkok (U-Tapao) for Kuala Lumpur at 7.20 pm Thai time will be for guests who have been stranded in Bangkok for the past few days.

AK662 Singapore-Bangkok (U-Tapao) 1750/1850 (local time)
AK663 Bangkok (U-Tapao)-Kuala Lumpur 1920/2205 (local time)

AirAsia will be notifying affected guests by phone. Alternatively, guests who wish to board this flight urgently, please contact AirAsia’s dedicated 24-hour emergency hotlines at +662-515 9999 in Bangkok or +603-86604554 in Malaysia.

AirAsia’s guests landing in U-Tapao Airbase will be transported by bus to central Bangkok free of charge. Meanwhile, AirAsia’s guests flying back to Kuala Lumpur will be provided complimentary bus pick-up to U-Tapao. The pick-up is at 2 pm Thai time from the Novotel Bangna Bangkok, 333 Srinakarin Road, Bangkok.

Please note that guests will be accepted on the flight subject to availability of seats.
