Wao~ What a joy of forming name to airasiaX aircraft..
Airasia have done more then what Malaysian expected, low cost, great service, long-houl, and let the world connected to Malaysia and gain our dream come true "Now Everyone Can Fly To Europe" without spending much on air ticket.
Since that, i would recomend the name of "Inesperado" that carry the meaning of "Unexpected" in Portuguese and Spanish language.

Examples that can be displayed:
- X inesperado
- in.X.perado

Let the whole world know that AirAsia could do more that what the global expected in term of service, cost and even routes.

Hi guys - to clarify,

1. There is no expiry date for this. We select the names for new aircraft about 2 months before each aircraft is delivered. We have 3 in 2009 (Sept, Nov, Dec), 3 in 2010, and 6 in each of 2011 and 2012....

2. Xploration, Xpedition and Xcursion don't qualify.

In conclusion the Air Asia and the Air Asia X is X-tremely X-pressive and X-traordinary that it has became an X-tacy for people globally.

1 more word for AirAsiaX aircraft.
"Esperanto"~!

The word Esperanto carry alot of meaning. 1st of all it is the most widely spoken constructed international auxiliary language in the world. The word "esperanto" means "one who hopes" in the language itself. With this word, the world will know that we are putting out hope on this airlines.

Esperanto also mean anything that is used as a single international medium in place of plural distinct nation media. So that airasiaX can proof that it will become the medium of air travel in global aviation industry.

Therefore, I would recomand:
- Xperanto
- Xperantist (if want to characterise the aircraft)

X-TACY = it is basically from the word ESCTACY, and it means that the passengers would enjoy and would be in 'seventh heaven' literally, with the great deals and services on board. It is just like a 5 star hotel in the air, with great people, great smile, and great services...
so, its an X-TACY..

well, it can be changed to X-STACY, and the plane can also be known as STACY, which is a very sweet name of a little girl..with the X factor, the plane is a sweet little girl which everyone love and is able to travel futher to achieve greater heights!

so, X-STACY or X-TACY

other recommended names :

ECLIP-X-E = which is actually something which everyone is looking forward to see, and to enjoy. It is rare, but very much appreciated. It can be linked to the corporation which might still be growing, but is very well known and everyone is having great expectation on it!

CONNE-X-T = which means 'connect', the plane it self, CONNE-X-T, connects the world, and link everyone. It also show how us Malaysians, connect to each another in harmony, which is as well just like the Air Asia X and its corporation with great achievements from everyone working together, hand-in-hand.

X-Ucess = which is actually from the word 'success'. This indicates that the plane X-ucess, is a plane from everyone's harship. It is an achievement! Other than that, the alphabet 'U' after the X factor means that without the passenger (U), it wouldn't be possible for the plane to take off into the sky. It is the U (passengers) and the support that keeps the corporation growing and expanding and to improve its services.

X'mas = Christmas, if the plane is to be 'born' during the month of December.

1- prinXess : which as I said earlier, since we've got a sword of a hero, it would be great if we have princess. Princess also means beauty, noble, admirable and one that everyone in this world dream of. So this is it, Air Asia X makes everyone's dream come true.. :)

Look!! there's a prinXess flying in the sky, cool isn't it? :)

2- aeroXquisite : Exquisite is my fav word and I was thinking it is suitable for the new airplane. I've came up with airXquisite and aeroXquisite. Both are awesome for me.

3- Xultimate! : Combination of words exult and ultimate make the plane sounds really cool. This one highlight the powerful of X factor where the 'X' alphabet combines those two words nicely. Which also means,Air Asia X have various quality and not just concentrate to one specific quality.

4- uniXerene - This is also a combination of two words; Unique and Serene

5- epXilon - this is the fifth greek alphabet. The fifth Air Asia X might use this name, why not?

I'll hit anything if I've got new awesome idea. I hope you consider these one
Thanks!! :)

I thought I'd share with you my current views for you consideration, but no guarantees that I don't change my views so keep new ideas flowing.

1. For our 3 planes in 2009 (Sep, Nov, Dec) and 3 in 2010 (Jun, Jul, Dec), I would prefer to have each of the sets of three to have a common theme (i.e., Xploration, Xpedition, Xcursion)

2. That being said, one of my favourites that you've suggested so far is "Xpresso Shots". Its funky, fun and symbolizes concentrated burst of caffeine-fueled energy. However, this would only make sense if there are two other names with similar themes....

Here are some of my choices with some explaination:

1) Xen = as in Zen with an X. Flying AirAsiaX is a Zen-like experience.

2) Oaxis = oasis is a peaceful calming place. While the wordplay also summons the word Axis. AirAsiaX could fly everywhere, every axis.

3) eXistenz = well this is sorta a ripoff - eXistenZ is a name of a bio-tech based organic game whereby players are transported into a virtual lifelike world of existence.

This is more specific for the new coming A343.
This is more mathematical
Since X can equally divide 4 right angle
Therefore, "X 4 right angle"

Meanings are:
1)X = Air Asia X/times 4 (A343 got 4 engine, so x4)
2) Right angle= X can equal divide into 4 "right angle".
3)right= postive/yes/right decision
4)Angle = Point of view/advantages

So, as a conclusion, it can define as
1) 4 right angle
2)(Air Asia)X is the way to choose
3)4 point of view:]
-X-cities in low fares
-X-emplary care
-X-tradinaroy flight experience
-Xperience the new revolution of the air travel

Name for a plane!

I just love that call-sign "Xanadu" - it conjures up all sorts of magical connotations, so for the name of your next plane what about:

Xenith (where "X" is pronounced "Z' as in Xanadu). I think it's a particularly apt name for a plane as "zenith" has two meanings: (1) the point in the heavens directly above the observer and, more importantly, (2) the highest point or peak of performance, power, influence, etc. The name would remind customers of the high level of service and performance offered by your company.

From what I've heard, your company is bravely breaking new ground and deserves to do well. All the best! Hope to fly with you soon.
Davina.

Rubber LateX

LateX

North-South X-pressway (Not the one from Kedah to Johor, But the one from KL to the Southern and Northern Hemisphere.)
Sprint Xpressway (Not the West KL one, This expressway is only for the Air Asia, No Speed limit, and for sure, longer then 25km. But still connect to the KLIA.)

Mark X (I want to write "Mark Six"(A lottary game in Hong Kong. Anyway, There's a mark on the plane call "X" now!!)
Marked X (Adding a "ed" makes the meaning changed to attractive and more famous!!0

X Diagonal (I am studying something mathematical, and i draw out two diagonal and ......."You are a freakin weirdo!!" Back to the meaning, diagonal is a "POINT TO POINT" line across the quardrant.)

X value (Air Asia "X", "let X be the unknown, let X to be valued!!)

R.M.X (What it means? Although it sounds really technical and pro!!! But it only means, cheap. "X" can be defined as a 10 dollar bill. So in this case it means, "10 Ringgit", that's why the name always post beside the L1 door!!)

EthniX (Ethnic(s): Race, not the running race, but the race of "X", is a new race in this planet.

Asian X (Sounds plain, but it was as interesting as the Asian X,X=Kiss)

Hello Sir Azran

This are few of my suggestion names for upcoming A330 aircraft :

1. Xebec :
A xebec is a special three-masted
sailing ship used in the
Mediterranean as Air Asia also fly
above Mediterranean.

2. Xiomara :
Air Asia is in battle ready mode by battling of cutting off fuel charges and also admin fee.

3. Xara :
It been modified from its original name which is "Zara". The word means that Air Asia shines around the world

4. X-boundaries:
Air Asia do not have any boundaries to be in any place of the world. Air Asia will conquer the world smaller soon.

Thats all for now. Thank you for giving me this chance.

Wondering what's the special name selected.
Seems like those X words has reach the max, what could be named may repeated.
But here I still try out my simple idea.
Do you know that X is meant by 10 in Roman numerals?

Instead of putting word on an aircraft, I could recomand that:
" The X^th Aircraft" (which mean the 10th aircraft of AirasiaX with airasiaX symbol X and the small "th" on the top right side)

So I do mean no rush for putting this special name since have to wait for the 10th aircraft.

Or maybe try out too:
" The X^th A330 " (The 10th A330)
" The X^th Airbus " (The 10th Airbus of AirasiaX)
or even " The X^th Spirit"
and "The X^th Baby"..
=)

Hello Sir, I have another suggestion which does not use names starts with but X. I believe by naming 9M-AFW aircraft on the honorable Sir Frank William would be the best example of naming the most important individuals of Air Asia and Air Asia X on the upcoming aircraft such as: 1. Spirit Of Tony Fernandes - "Making Dreams To Reality" 2. Dato Kamarudin - Simple yet Ambitious ASEAN Airline 3. X-thrill Azran Osman-Rani - "Dare To Dream For What You Dare To Dream For" As this would be a great rememberance for the future generations of Air Asia of the most important founders who had formed Air Asia and Air Asia X Hope to hear more from you. Thank you, Satwin Hans

Just come out with some other creative idea rather then a words..
Maybe just put "The X^th Fleet" of airasiaX aircraft, then i don't have to wait for so long since AriasiaX now having its 5th aircraft... hehe..

Hm.. Just realise that symbol "X" is also a meaning of strike or goal in blowing gaming.. SO may have the name of:

" Long-Range Striker-X"
" Destination Stirker-X"
...

2. Malaysia
