Today is further proof what an amazing asset you are to both Malaysian and indeed international civil aviation. In less than 8 short years you have beaten all odds and brought a struggling carrier and transformed it into the worlds number 1 low cost carrier. It is because of this, the world is in debt to yourself and your magnificent team, as you truly have made it so everyone can fly.

Congratulations on the launch of your London-Stansted services, bringing the UK closer to Malaysians, the greater asian region and of course my home of Australia. I hope one day to be able to repay some of the debt us Australians owe you and your company, through flying for your airline, for what you have done for us.

I think a lot of people in the office were unsure of me when I first arrived…at 6 ft I towered above most of my new fellow colleagues and it was maybe a little daunting? I’m not sure. Either way they were very welcoming and happy to chat with me and ask me questions about me and my life…and there were some interesting ones….

Here, it's absolutely acceptable to ask someone their age - in UK it is not so polite to ask a lady her age - but it didn't bother me too much; I'm not quite old enough to feel the need to hide my age. Well, I thought this until a lot of people started thinking I was 30, married with children...ahem...that's adding 8 years onto my life and I’m definitely not in a rush to start a family just yet.
