Clark's Hot Air Balloon Festival
Every February, Clark hosts the Annual Hot Air Balloon Festival. This year the event was held last February 12-15, as they say, It's a weekend of everything that flies. There are various activities to enjoy for the whole day from paragliding performances, skydiving exhibitions and other flying demonstrations. It starts as early as 5:30 am for the aerial stunts 'till 7:00 pm for the night glow.
I wanted to attend the event but the dates doesn't coincide with my schedule. Last Saturday, a couple of friends went there. So, right after work, I decided to join my friends even if I'd be there for barely an hour.
This is my first time to watch this event. Though, i have limited time, i had fun. I was able to watch the night glow. Balloons of all shapes and sizes are lighted at the same time to illuminate the surrounding. My favorite was Tigger-shaped balloon, one can also see elephant shaped balloons, coke, and other more exciting designs. There are also fireworks display and band show.
These are the things that I have been missing out. So, next time be sure to include this event in your itinerary. See you soon!

Happy Thaipusam!!!
The blog team would like to take this opportunity to wish all a Happy Thaipusam.
To our readers who are unaware what Thaipusam is, Wikipedia defines Thaipusam as a Hindu festival celebrated mostly by the Tamil community on the full moon in the Tamil month of Thai (Jan/Feb). Pusam refers to a star that is at its highest point during the festival. The festival commemorates both the birthday of Lord Murugan (also known as Subramaniam), the youngest son of Shiva and Parvati, and the also to commemorate the occasion when Parvati gave Murugan a vel (lance) so he could vanquish the evil demon Soorapadman.
Our wishes go out to those celebrating at home and those who are following the procession from Sri Mahamariamman Temple, Sri Subramaniar Temple, Nattukottai Chettiar Temple and all holy temples around the globe.
Let us all join in and share the joy with our Indian friends all around. Have a great day of celebration.

A (Night) Race to Remember!
To be in Singapore for not only my first time (!) but also for the first EVER night race was quite amazing! I'm a lucky girl...and the envy of a lot of my friends!
I went along with the internal and external AirAsia winners who had won tickets to the race. We were able to enter on all three evenings to catch a glimpse (literally!) of the F1 cars zooming around the track.
Before the first evening I was able to wonder around the city and get a feel for the place. I really liked the feeling of Singapore and of course I went along to the famous Raffles Hotel!
