June 7, 2009 and woke up early for me not to miss my 8:55 AM Air Asia flight from Phuket to Bangkok. The last part of my Asian trip (Singapore, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, Phuket and Bangkok Thailand).

Sleepy and tired but full of excitement. That’s what I exactly feel when I reached the fantastic airport of Phuket.

But I still managed to save some energy for my half-day tour to Bangkok because of the warm welcome of the Thai personnel in the airport.

They’re very glad to help you in any ways that they can offer. From the airport’s entrance, trolleys, waiting area and until you reach your destination.

But even if I already reached my destination, all I can feel is their kindness and hospitality.

Honestly, I found too hard to understand some of their words but you can feel from the smiles in their faces of how special you are to them.

While we’re waiting for our FD 3022 plane in Phuket airport, all I can do is to sit, think, plan, stare at the map (and look around the surroundings) what I’m going to do in Bangkok.

At first, my plan is to have a back-pack style of touring the city from Suvarnabhumi airport with my sling bag, plastic full of souvenirs, and my big stroller bag. I think that’s the weirdest plan I ever had, because Suvarnabhumi is toooooooo far from the Bangkok’s CBD.

Good thing I was looking around and saw this Tour Information stall in the waiting area just in front of me.

Then here’s the roll-call to the passengers for Bangkok. And eventually, I left that guilt in the airport when I board the plane because all I can feel is excitement. Excitement because I’ll be going to Bangkok and of course, another plane experience for me again.

When the plane’s wheel touched Suvarnabhumi, I was greeted by different planes on the way.

Fantastic! Whoah! I really love planes.

While the plane is taxiing in the airport ramp, I’m wondering why our plane is not going near to the terminals. All of a sudden, we were dropped-off on the tarmac for us to ride the shuttle bus going to the domestic airport. Ugh! A little hassle for us, that’s what I thought. Anyway, I have no choice but to follow the line.

But to least of my expectation when the driver started the engine and left the pick-up area, it’s like we’re touring the airport (hmmp). And suddenly I saw a lot of planes, as in LOTS OF PLANES.

I saw B747, B777, B737, A340, A330, A320 and a lot more in different airlines. Oh my god! That’s the only word I can speak in my mind. This is such a nice place. I wanted to tell the driver to stop the bus for us to take some pictures but it’s already in the mid-day knowing that all of us passengers and I are now starving.

Next time, I’ll ride Air Asia again because of this one-of-a-kind experience.

Hello, I want to give you a story about myself at Sultan Mahmud Airport at Kuala Terengganu. My family and I walked through the metal detector. My mother walked through the metal detector first with no problem. I walked through and the alarm beeped. The woman who worked as airport security said, ‘Come over here as you need to get your belt off’. I said, ‘Oh right, I am idiot’ so I took my belt off but when I walked through the metal detector and the alarm beeped again. She said, ‘Take anything out from your pockets’. So, I took my wallet out from my pocket. I walked through again but this time, no alarm beeped. I asked her why and she said nothing. I put my things back in my pockets. We flew to Kuala Lumpur. We had a good time at my uncle’s wedding. I talked to my uncle about what happened in the airport. I walked through the metal detector and the alarm beeped, just only my wallet. My auntie said, probably you have something inside of your wallet that had metal in it. I said, ‘Far out’, I had my driver license and nothing metal on the credit card. When we went back to home, in Sultan Mahmud Airport, my mother walked through the metal detector.

I learned my lesson so I took my things out from my pockets before walking through the metal detector. I walked through and the alarm beeped. I was puzzled. The woman who worked as airport security said, ‘Come over here and told me to get my wallet out’. Before I went back to the metal detector, the man who worked as airport security stopped me. He patted me to make sure if I don’t have anything on my body. So, I walked through again but this time, no alarm beeped. I asked her why and she said, let me see what you have in your wallet. So I took all of the things in my wallet include driver license and credit card out. She said that one. Know what it is? It was a small pen drive that I just bought it last week.

Ok, this is a through story, not through la, TRUE, adui, I'm SORRY... Anyway, I want to share one of my memorable experience I experienced, during my journey in the flight back to MALAYSIA from INDIA.. Roughly, I took AirAsia from an airport called TIRUCHIRAPALLI from India, which i don't even know how to spell it correctly. The flight depart at aroung 9.40 a.m in the morning, but for Malaysian time tambah 2 jam setengah yer, we're ahead of them OKAY...Lets begin the STORY, zass....

Well, 4 ur info, that car is call ambassador, INDIAN national car. I took this car to the airport... kerete ni besar giler, quite antic and the body of the car is really hard... I took this car to the airport right after my UBUH prayer, at aroung 6.30 o'clock at that time.. COP.. that guy is me, kot la kalo ade x knal....

Yeay. it's time to lay my butt down on the plane. That's me, carry my IBU's beg, yes.. that the job of a son. Meringankan tulang ibu tersayang.. Now is 9.30, it's tyme to take off ang get the hell out of this world to the sky..

TIDO??? that is the last thing i'm gonna do inside the plane, common la, you all pay that much and juzz sleep the whole journey inside the plane??? I say man, duduk atas simen lagi bagus..

This is the flight menu... My dad made a prebook of nasi briyani, so, we got 20% discount, but if u all buy it on the spot, u all don't get discount la, haha.. better book by internet la.. Plus, the briyani is not so nice la, hot is hot but, better don't buy la,,, berlapar is wiser choice.. AND.. the price is like asking for slap u know, mintak penyepak, mineral water itselt is RM4.... pikir la sendiri nabil yer..

Pejalanan masih mude... kite teruskan penerbangan... zaas...

Oops, we got AIRASIA magazine.. Good!! after I finish my prebook briyani, I had wonderfull time reading the magazine.. Ye la, the mag did entertain me.. I also read Goosebumps, choose your scare version... When i was selak2 mukesurat that magazine I saw.......

SUDOKU, ngah2... quite cool ha.. I did it all by myself... Impress?? Ok ok, 2 me it's kinda cool... I did it myself.. And the proof is.... My signiture there... What else i did ha? I almost forgot la...

What's this? ya.. this is what we call toilet... Aktually i'm starting to feel quite boring at that time.. I'm not gonna sleep, dargh... TAHAN2... Now, I am in the toilet, and 4 all yang x pernah tgk tandas air asia, ni lah die... kecik jer pun, langgar awan, bergegar plane nie... Yeah, pic tyme...!!!Cool ha...

Perjalan maseh jauh.. mayb lagi 2 jam sampai la M'sia....

Yes.. I continue reading.. Reading is good, everyone knows it... At the same time I was listening to the MP4 my brother from India lend it to me.. While I was reading, the pramugari and pramugare buat jualan, that time, I bought an air asia bag, black in colour juzz for the souvenir... it's like in the mag....written everyone can fly... LAME...

Yeah, the stewardess, always like angel... Their smile, their service... PERFECT, especially for my eye.. haha.. I bought those air asia bags from them la..How's them? any commments?

Pejam celik pejam celik, lorr... dah nak sampai rupenyer.. I made it.. x tido pun... bwat ni bwat 2... Ish2....

At last.. pijak gak bumi.... 4 jam flight.... the pilot had made a gud job, especially the stewardess... impressing me with their beautiness and sexiness,, ahaks!!Ok that's all, Alhamdulillah sampai gak kat M'sia... anyway... do comments k, critics also can..

Hello again!
Even though I love teaching a lot however I still needed a break to re-charge myself. Therefore, I took a week off .
And guess where I've been to - One of the best dive sites in the world - Sipadan!

It was actually my 2nd trip to Sipadan. The first time was about 5 years ago when AirAsia offered free tickets to Tawau. Unfortunately at that time I only snorkelled around the island. This time round, its different because I went as a diver and stayed at the Seaventures Dive Resort, an oil rig turned into a dive resort.

I mis-read the flight time on my e-ticket when I was in Labuan en route to Kuala Lumpur a few weeks ago. And the cost is I missed my flight. There will be no more flights from that airline that day since the one I was supposed to fly on was the last. The next available flight will be the next morning which I found out had only three Business Class seats. I needed to go back to Kuala Lumpur and be in my office the next day to settle my work before the upcoming Raya holidays.

My alternative is AirAsia. There is a flight at 8.50 pm that night and I waited earnestly for the sales office at Labuan Airport to be opened only to find out that it will not be opened. I did lose my appetite to break my fast after missing the flight and thinking I might be stranded here in Labuan for another day. I found out that if I upgrade my Economy class ticket on that other airline to Business Class I will have to pay RM 430 inclusive of non appearance fee. Then only I thought of checking with AirAsia first. I might get a much cheaper fare. (read more...)
