Sniffing around Bandung, West Java - What's in Town?
We did not opt to stay up in the mountain, for time was limited.
We wanted to enjoy a lot of things in Bandung.
So, we stayed in one of many many guest houses in Bandung town.
The guest houses are each unique with their own theme.
Ours was called De Tropis.
That's me in front of our guest house, posing by our Toyota Innova.
Our guest house has Marilyn Monroe as its theme.

UPDATE (as at 3.30pm Malaysian time): Bangkok Airport Closure - AirAsia Mounts Further Rescue Flights
AirAsia is pleased to inform guests that we are mounting a rescue flight from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok on Monday, 1 December and Tuesday, 2 December. The flight will depart LCCT Sepang at 4.25 pm Malaysian time and will arrive at the U-Tapao Navalbase in Bangkok at 5:30 pm Thai time. Please note that the flight departing for Kuala Lumpur from U-Tapao at 6.00 pm Thai time, will be for guests who have been stranded in Bangkok for the past few days.
AirAsia Rescue Flight
AK886D Kuala Lumpur - Bangkok (U-Tapao) 1625 (departure) - 1720 (arrival)
AK887D Bangkok (U-Tapao) - Kuala Lumpur 1800 (departure) - 2105 (arrival)
Guests have been notified by phone. Alternatively, guests who wish to board these flights urgently are advised to contact AirAsia’s dedicated 24-hour emergency hotlines at +662-5159999 in Bangkok or +603-86604554 in Malaysia.
Outbound guests from Kuala Lumpur to U-Tapao will be transported by bus to central Bangkok free of charge. Meanwhile, guests flying back to Kuala Lumpur will be provided complimentary bus pick-up to U-Tapao from the Novotel Bangna Bangkok, 333 Srinakarin Road, Bangkok.
Due to limited facilities at U-Tapao, guests are advised to assemble at Novotel Bangna Bangkok at 10am for checking in.Please do not proceed directly to U-Tapao as the limited facility does not allow us to perform check in there for our guests.
Please note that guests will be accepted on the flight subject to availability of seats.
