Aircraft Miniatures
For many years, I had always taken a keen interest in the aviation field. Unfortunately, for better or worse, I ended up in the medical profession instead. In any case, I still continue to closely monitor developments in the aviation sector.
Over the past few years, I started collecting miniature aircraft and I am thankful to AirAsia for coming up with such products.
As you can see here, I have a modest collection of AirAsia models dating back to the B737-300 days.
However, my prized collection is the A330-300 (1:200) limited edition with landing gear - seen below taxiing onto runway 32R... Yes, you guessed right - I built a 1:200 scale taxiway(A10 & A11)/partial runway (32R) to better appreciate these models.... Bet you guys know exactly where that is, sparing me the ordeal of explaining further!
Next up, I can't wait to get my hands on the Raiders A340 (9M-XAC). I hope AirAsia will come with with at least a 1:200 scale model and hopefully with landing gear..... I'll probably be the first one to 'raid' the AirAsia stall at LCCT or Red Megastore, if and when the model rolls out.

The 25 Minutes Turnaround
25 Minutes Turnaround means, it takes 25 minutes for an aircraft from the moment of arrival to depart to the next destination.
It's one of the practice of AirAsia berhad in order to operate as Low Cost Carrier.
What actually happen in the 25 minutes time?
First, you will hear the boarding announcement being made for your departure.

The Arabian Camel vs Airbus A320
First things first, the 'chain-of-command'. Despite Capt. Tan’s vast experience as a commander, we both decided that commanding a camel is more suited for one as obstinate as the camel itself. So he asked ME to be Captain while HE volunteered to be my FO atop the camel! Since I had no problems accepting an early promotion, we got down to business immediately. After the pre-departure briefing, I commanded my camel to rise. She didn’t! I asked for the checklist again. Nose peg? Check! Hump Seat? Check! Foot Harness? Check! (read more...)

Buckle Up Please!!!
The Qantas Airbus suffered a drop of 650ft in a matter of 20 seconds, and as a result, many passengers who were not strapped in, suffered serious head injuries because they hit the aircraft ceiling. Some even suffered spinal injuries.
Remember, folks, flight safety is always there for a reason. Life matters more than inconvenience.
